St. Pete Beach
MacDONALD, JUDITH SUSAN "JUDY," 64, of St. Pete Beach, died Sunday (Jan. 2, 2005). Born in Sylvania, Ohio, she came here in 1989 from Toledo, Ohio, where she received a bachelor's degree at the University of Toledo and taught elementary school. She also taught in Ilo, Peru. She was the former owner of the Doggie Bathouse and Birch Haven Kennels. Locally, she was a licensed massage therapist and a published cruciverbalist and worked at the Tradewinds Beach Resort and Jim's Harley-Davidson in St. Pete Beach. She was active in women's softball, tennis and golf. Survivors include a brother, Jerry MacDonald, St. Pete Beach. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg.
ROYLE, ARTHUR, 88, of St. Pete Beach, died Saturday (Jan. 1, 2005) at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Petersburg. Born in Manchester, England, he came here from Michigan. He was a real estate broker. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a Mason. He was an avid sailor and taught sailing. Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Royle, Flint, Mich.; two sons, Edward and Mike, both of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and four grandchildren. Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Centers-N.E. St. Petersburg.
