BANNON, JOHN WILLIAM SR., 59, of Inverness, died Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2005) in Inverness. Born in New York City, he came here in 1984 from Middle Island, N.Y. He was a retired New York Police Department officer with more than 18 years of service. He was a member of the Army Reserves. He was a Florida Probation and Parole officer in Inverness with more than 16 years of service. He was a member of the NYPD 10-13 Club and of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Janet A. (Wittemann); two sons, John W. Bannon Jr., Inverness, and Joseph E. Bannon, Tampa; four daughters, Elizabeth A. Bannon and Lori DiLeo, both of Inverness, Kathy DiLeo, Jacksonville, N.C., and Donna DiLeo, Gainesville; his mother, Elizabeth Bannon, Oviedo; three sisters, Betty Rudolph, Central, S.C., Patricia Bannon, Nevada, and Anne Gaither, Oviedo; and a grandchild. BECAN, RICHARD JOHN, 77, of Hernando, died Dec. 30, 2004, in Hernando. Born in Queens, N.Y., he came here in 1996 from Shirley, N.Y. He was a supervisor in the cosmetics industry and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. WENNER, CHRISTIAN C., 75, of Beverly Hills, died Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2005) in Inverness. Born in Philadelphia, he came here in 1999 from Springfield, Pa. He was director of plant operations for the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic and was the maintenance manager of the Philadelphia Zoo. He was a Navy veteran serving as an electrician aboard the USS Herbert J. Thomas. He became a certified scuba diver at age 70. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Marjorie; a daughter, Patricia M. Greco, East Stroudsburg, Pa.; five sons, Charles Wenner, Broomall, Pa., Christian Wenner, Hernando, Robert Wenner, Newtown Square, Pa., Paul Marrin, Media, Pa., and Joseph Wenner, Philadelphia; a stepdaughter, Kelly Cisarik, Indian Rocks Beach; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
