Two men and a teen accused of committing a series of burglaries at local businesses have been arrested in Bradenton on charges of burglary, authorities said Friday. The three were arrested by Manatee County sheriff's deputies Thursday night when the deputies responded to a burglary in Bradenton, police said. While in custody, the three admitted to burglarizing six businesses at two Clearwater shopping plazas early Wednesday morning, said Largo police Detective Richelle Wasylyna. They allegedly smashed open the glass doors of businesses at Tri-City Plaza and ICOT Center and made off with cash registers, police said. They were identified as Charles Patrick Gallagher, 46, dubbed "The Crowbar Bandit," Brandon Smith, 20, and Russell Webb, 17, all of Bradenton. Additional charges are pending.
