The Central Rotary Club will host a presentation on patient safety and medical errors at noon Thursday at the Wellington Clubhouse, off Mariner Boulevard.
The program will be presented by N. Scott Howell, D.O., who recently completed a fellowship in health policy with the National Heritage Foundation, sponsored by the Ohio University School of Osteopathic Medicine and the New York Institute of Technology.

Commissioner Stabins to hold public forum Jan. 20
RIDGE MANOR _ County Commissioner Jeff Stabins will host a community meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Ridge Manor Community Center, 34240 Cortez Blvd.
The meeting is for public input about issues relating to growth and development in Hernando County. This will be the second of a series of community meetings Commissioner Stabins plans to hold throughout the county.

Main Street market vendor slots open
BROOKSVILLE _ Vendor spaces are available for the next Market on Main Street, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 15 in the city parking lot next to the Antique Sampler Mall, 31 S Main St.
Vendors can sell produce, shrubbery, antiques, collectibles, handmade crafts or woodwork. The cost is $15 for the one event or $50 for four months paid in advance. The market is the third Saturday of each month from September through May.
The event is sponsored by Brooksville Again, a merchants cooperative, operating under the Hernando Historical Museum Association and the city of Brooksville. Those interested in being vendors may call Brooksville Again at 797-9330.
