The Devil Rays are raising the price of spring training tickets, too.
Prices for field boxes will go from $18 to $19, loge boxes from $15 to $16 and grandstand seats from $12 to $13. Prices for the berm seating areas will remain $7.
The Rays will play 15 games at Progress Energy Park, with the schedule highlighted by matchups with the world champion Red Sox (March 15 and 26) and Yankees (March 20), a rare appearance by the Dodgers (March 9) and night games against the Blue Jays (March 18) and Reds (March 2).
The Rays will open the spring with an exhibition against the Naval Academy, a matchup managing general partner Vince Naimoli helped arrange. An academy graduate, Frank Gren, is paying for the team to come down.
The Rays will spend much of late March on the road, taking a March 21-23 trip to Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale and Vero Beach, then making six consecutive one-day trips in the final week of the spring (March 27-April 1), going, in order, to Winter Haven, Bradenton, Clearwater, Fort Myers, Tampa and Viera.
They conclude the spring with an April 2 exhibition at Tropicana Field against the Washington Nationals.
