Animobile schedules Pinellas Park visits

Pinellas County Animal Services' mobile veterinary vehicle, the Animobile, will be at the parking lot of the Pinellas Park Health Department, 6350 76th Ave. N., on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and Jan. 18 from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Free spaying or neutering will be available for pets of residents receiving public assistance. Rabies vaccinations will also be available from 1:30-3 p.m. for $1 with the purchase of a county pet license. To schedule a surgical appointment call 582-2600. No appointment necessary for vaccinations or license.

Lawn Bowling Club offering free instruction

The St. Petersburg Lawn Bowling Club, 536 Fourth Ave. N, will hold free instruction and general information each Wednesday during January from 9 a.m.-noon for those interested in learning about this low impact sport. The Lawn Bowling Club is the oldest in Florida and the 10th oldest in the United States. The first national tournament was hosted by the club in 1926 and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Call 823-8143.
