Lance Lubin was selected by District 1 council member Rick Kriseman, along with the St. Petersburg City Council, as the December Citizen of the Month.
A St. Petersburg native and lifetime resident of the Eagle Crest neighborhood, Lubin is a graduate of Boca Ciega High School and Oberlin College. He works as a real estate agent, broker and president/owner of Lubin Team Realty.
Lubin was selected because of his volunteer contributions throughout the community in religious, social and municipal functions. He has served for 12 years as a Sunday school teacher at Temple Beth El, and for five years periodically leading Sabbath services at Menorah Manor, a retirement residence.
Musically, Lubin has spent more than 25 years playing in bluegrass bands, 10 years as a member of Temple Beth El's band, the Jammin' Jews, and more than six years as a board member for the Suncoast Chorus Chapter of Barbershop Harmony Society.
Lubin has also served on St. Petersburg's Human Relations Review Board for five years and as president of the Eagle Crest Neighborhood Association for three years.
