ANDINA, VICTOR T., 92, of Clearwater, formerly of Tampa, died Monday (Jan. 3, 2005) at Cross Terrace Rehabilitation Center, Dunedin. He was born in Tampa and worked as a bartender. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include a daughter, Anita Lydick, Clearwater; three sisters, Millie Perez, Arkansas, Dora Melendrares, Wauchula, and Dolly Patrinostro, Lakeland; and two grandchildren, Robert Tintera, Tampa, and Clifford Tintera, Clearwater. GALINDO, GEORGE, 50, of Tampa, died Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2005). He was born in Caibarian, Cuba. Survivors include his wife, Eudosia; two sons, George Galindo and Jose Osbaldo; and a daughter, Yansa Galindo. Gonzalez Funeral Home, Tampa.

LANDES, JOSEPH D., JR., 93, of Brandon, died Friday (Jan. 7, 2005) at Brandon Regional Hospital. Born in Kansas City, Mo., he lived in the area for 30 years. He worked as a book publisher, and was a member of Center Place Fine Arts and Civic Association. Survivors include a son, David Landes, of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Lynn L. Farmer, of Seffner; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon.

MOWERY, ELIZABETH B. "BESS," 91, of Tampa, formerly of Clearwater, died Tuesday (Jan. 4, 2005) at Beck N Call Nursing Home in Town 'N Country. She was born in Cleveland and in 1956 moved to Clearwater. She worked as a bookkeeper at West End Lunbar Company, Cleveland. She was Catholic. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Hite, Tampa; a grandson, Brian Hite, Tampa; a great-grandson, Logan Hite; and a sister, Florence Legan, Cleveland. Sylvan Abbey Funereal Home, Clearwater.

OLIVEROS, ALFONSO MARIA, 89, of Tampa, died Friday (Jan. 7, 2005). He was born in Bolivar, Colombia. Survivors include his wife, Cecilia; three sons, Jairo, Alfonso and Gilberto; three daughters, Beatriz Saunders, Purita Cano and Ines Brito; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. TURNER, WILLIAM MARSHALL, 83, of Lutz, formerly of St. Petersburg and Clearwater, died Thursday (Jan. 6, 2005) at home. He came to Florida from Decatur, Ill., where he was a graduate of Decatur High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in 1947 from Millikin University Decatur campus and was a member and past president of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He was a branch manager for a local investment firm before retiring. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. Survivors include a son, Marshall Deric; a daughter, Marta Turner Griffith; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Florida Mortuary Funeral and Cremation Services, Tampa.
