LANDES, JOSEPH D., JR., 93, of Brandon, died Friday (Jan. 7, 2005) at Brandon Regional Hospital. Born in Kansas City, Mo., he lived in the area for 30 years. MOWERY, ELIZABETH B. "BESS," 91, of Tampa, formerly of Clearwater, died Tuesday (Jan. 4, 2005) at Beck N Call Nursing Home in Town 'N Country. She was born in Cleveland and in 1956 moved to Clearwater. She worked as a bookkeeper at West End Lunbar Company, Cleveland. She was Catholic. TURNER, WILLIAM MARSHALL, 83, of Lutz, formerly of St. Petersburg and Clearwater, died Thursday (Jan. 6, 2005) at home. He came to Florida from Decatur, Ill., where he was a graduate of Decatur High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in 1947 from Millikin University Decatur campus and was a member and past president of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He was a branch manager for a local investment firm before retiring. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
