Open Air Market looking for a few new vendors

(ran East, West, South, Beach editions)

The Treasure Island Open Air Market is looking for more vendors of arts and crafts, plants and prepared foods. The market at Pirates Square, 107th Ave. N., is open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays until May. It offers fresh produce, baked goods, arts and crafts and live entertainment. Give blood, get health

screenings and T-shirt

Florida Blood Services will conduct a blood drive Jan. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at 400 Treasure Island Causeway. Donors will receive a free blood pressure reading, a cholesterol check and a T-shirt. Call 568-5433.

Volunteers needed to mentor students

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Pinellas County is seeking mentors for its School-Based Mentoring Program. Volunteers visit their Little Brother or Sister once a week for an hour at the child's elementary school, and help with homework, reading, games and projects, or simply talk to build a friendship.
