Sophomore Rachael Sheats recorded her first double double, with 11 rebounds and a career-high 26 points, as USF beat Cincinnati 74-56 Sunday. The Bulls improved to 2-0 in Conference USA for only the second time in the league's 10-year history.
Sheats made all 10 of her shots during the first half, and the Bulls led by 20 after her short jumper with 1:12 left in the first half.
The lead grew to 29 in the second half as USF shot a season-high 56.3 percent (27-of-48) and allowed fewer than 60 points for the eighth consecutive game.
FSU 65, MIAMI 56: Nikki Anthony had career highs of nine rebounds and 15 points for the host Seminoles, who trailed by seven during the second half but ended the game with a 16-6 run.
FLORIDA 67, AUBURN 60: Tamia Williams scored 22 for the host Gators. Florida took a 55-54 lead on Williams' 3-pointer with 3:25 left and made 4 of 6 free throws during the final 28 seconds.
