A man robbed the United Bank at 333 Third Ave. N in downtown St. Petersburg on Monday morning, police said. No one was hurt.
The man, who wore sunglasses and a red ball cap, handed the teller a note about 9:50 a.m., police spokesman George Kajtsa said. The man had a semiautomatic handgun, and fled after taking an undisclosed amount of money.
Police said the robber was described as black, about 6 feet 2, weighing 190 pounds and in his 30s. Anyone with information can call police at (727) 893-7179 or (727) 893-7780.
