Dawn and Gene Scott tell reporters in Jacksonville Tuesday they will fight to keep a 3-year-old boy they have cared for since birth, saying a court order requiring them to return him to his birth mother is filled with inaccuracies. They are considering a federal lawsuit. The Scotts were close to final adoption of the boy, whom they called Evan, when his biological father learned of his birth and demanded custody. Amanda Hopkins, his biological mother, thwarted that move by seeking custody herself. The boy is scheduled to move permanently Saturday into the home of Hopkins, now married and living with her husband and a baby on a Navy base in Illinois.
