A jury was seated Tuesday in Tampa in the trial of Alicia Denise Lattimore on charges of first-degree murder and armed kidnapping. Opening statements were slated to begin today. Lattimore is one of five people accused of abducting, beating, stabbing and shooting to death Gregory Steven Fisler II, 23, from an Apollo Beach home in June 2003, then burying him in a wooded area near Seffner after he was unable to pay a $280 drug debt. Two defendants already have pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed kidnapping charges and have been sentenced to 25 and 40 years in prison. The other two await trial. Lattimore, 22, could face the death penalty.
