BRIGHTMAN, WALTER F., 80, of Homosassa, died Sunday (Nov. 6, 2005) in Homosassa. He was born in Fairhaven, Mass. and came here 18 years ago from McAllen, Texas. He was a retired vice-president of sales and marketing for Texas Citrus Exchange and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He served in the Assault Amphibious Force during the Invasion of Normandy (Utah Beach) and with the Second Marine Division on Saipan and Okinawa. He was a 54-year member of the Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Sugarmill Woods Country Club. He was active in the promotion of the North Suncoast Junior Golf Association for 15 years. At the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa, he was a member and director of the Childrens Summer Church Program for 10 years. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Charlotte A. DAWES, ELIZABETH J., 73, of Beverly Hills, died Saturday (Nov. 5, 2005) in Inverness. She was born in Camden, N.J. and came here in the mid-1980s from Orlando. She was a licensed practical nurse who worked in home health care for 50 years and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include two brothers, James Barlow, Perrine, and William Barlow, Hollywood; a sister, Babs Mendelsohn, El Cajon, Calif.; many nieces and nephews including Robert C. Rehfuss Jr., Inverness. EATMON, JAMES THURMAN "TED," 88, of Citrus Springs, died Monday (Nov. 7, 2005) in Inverness. He was born in Smithfield, N.C. and came to Citrus Springs 15 years ago from Dunnellon. He was a retired Air Force veteran with 27 years of service. He achieved the rank of chief master sergeant and was awarded the Bronze Star. He served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruth H. (Caldwell); two daughters, Lynette Malphrus, Beverly Hills, and Shirley Eatmon-Creager, Fredricksburg, Md.; a sister, Elizabeth Simpson, Baltimore; several nephews and nieces; and two grandchildren. KLAIBER, ROBERT C., 87, of Inverness, died Sunday (Nov. 6, 2005) in Inverness. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. and came here in 1982 from Hamburg, N.Y. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and employed as a roll turner in a steelmill. Survivors include a son, Charles R., Inverness; and a daughter, Jane Klaiber, Lewisburg, Kansas. MOORE, JEFFREY BRIAN, 48, of Homosassa, died Monday (Nov. 7, 2005) at home. He was born in St. Petersburg, came here five years ago from Cleveland, Tenn. and was a property manager. He was Baptist. Survivors include his son, Jeffrey B. Moore Jr., Dunlap, Tenn.; his mother, Jean Hall, Inverness; his father and stepmother, Joel and Nancy Moore, Cleveland; a brother, Joel J. Moroe Jr., Homosassa; two sisters, Deone Walls, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Shanna Hunderup, Hockessin, Del.; four grandchildren; and companion, Wanda York, Homosassa. MUCHTIN, LEONA, 81, of Lecanto, died Sunday (Nov. 6, 2005) in Lecanto. She was born in Richmond Hill, N.Y. and came to this area more than 20 years ago from Dix Hills, N.Y. She was a surgical nurse for 20 years on Long Island, N.Y., then worked 20 years at the Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center Crystal River. She was a member of the Retired Nurses Association of Florida, member/treasurer of the Kennel Club of Beverly Hills and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. WATERS, RICHARD K., 76, of Homosassa, died Wednesday (Nov. 2, 2005) in the Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center Crystal River. He was born in Racine, Wis. and came to Florida in 1988 from Roscoe, Ill. He was the owner/operator of Necchi-New Home Sewing Machine Company in Rockford, Ill. for more than 20 years and member of the Broadway Businessman's Association. He was a member of the Crystal River United Methodist Church of Crystal River. He was a member of the Radio Controlled Airplane Flying Club of Citrus County, affiliated with the Citrus Area Stamp Association, and was a member of Sugarmill Woods County Club. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; two sons, Thomas, Fort Collins, Colo., and John, Huntington Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Anne Waters, Walnut Creek, Calif; a brother, Dean, Palm Harbor; a sister, Linda Shanks, Land O'Lakes; two nieces; and four grandchildren. WORCESTER, ELSIE M., 88, of Crystal River, died Monday (Nov. 7, 2005) in the Crystal River Health Center. She was born in Spring Valley, N.Y. and came here in 1980 from Livingston, N.J. She was a nurse's aide and a homemaker. She was a member of the Crystal River Garden Club and the First Lutheran Church of Inverness. Survivors include her husband, Donald E.; a daughter, Barbara Lynn Marsh, Warrensburg, Mo.; two brothers, Herbert Trocha, Safety Harbor, and Robert Trocha, Auburn, Calif.; and a granddaughter.
