Dugans on FSU's onfield staff

Former Florida State star receiver Ron Dugans, a graduate assistant with the football strength and conditioning staff last season, will work with the offense next season.

"He's very familiar with our program, our system and our standards," said Jeff Bowden, the Seminoles' offensive coordinator and receivers coach. "He will work primarily with the wide receivers and help out in recruiting locally. He played in three national championship games and then got some great experience in the NFL, so we feel like he is a perfect fit."

Dugans, 28, grew up in Tallahassee and stayed in town, where he blossomed opposite Peter Warrick. As a senior in the 2000 Sugar Bowl against Virginia Tech, the Bowl Championship Series finale, Dugans had five catches for 99 yards and two touchdowns.
