AT LEAST IT'S NOT SNOWING

Ron and Zita Curran, snowbirds from St. John's in Newfoundland, Canada, bask in the sun on a cold Monday afternoon at Lake Seminole Park. The couple come to their condo in St. Petersburg each October and stay through May. With temperatures in the 40s, few but native Northerners were out enjoying the day. Moments earlier, a group of at least 20 people from Nova Scotia finished an afternoon picnic.
