Coach Jay Wright signed a seven-year contract extension a day after his Wildcats defeated No. 1 Connecticut. The deal will keep Wright at the school through 2012-13.

SNYDER, SCHOOL AT ODDS: Quin Snyder says he resigned as Missouri's coach because the school told him he was on his way out. In his farewell address, Snyder said he stepped down last week after a university official sent by athletic director Mike Alden told the coach the administration had decided to terminate his contract after the season. School president Elson Floyd said he was "startled" by the statement: "I was never consulted prior to this reported conversation."

INDIANA: A day after fueling speculation that his tenure might be nearing an end, coach Mike Davis said he had no intention of resigning. He is expected to return to the sidelines tonight at Penn State after missing Saturday's game with flulike symptoms.

KANSAS ST.: Coach Jim Wooldridge will be back with the team tonight at Texas Tech, a week after neck surgery.
