Homosassa man enraged after being told to look up song

Perhaps it was a request of I Fought the Law (and the Law Won). After being told he had to look up a karaoke song to be able to request it, a patron of a Homosassa barbecue restaurant went on a rampage with a small knife, stabbing a rain gutter and tearing down lights. Travis L. Swartz, 25, of 4253 S Winding Oaks Drive was asked to leave Col. Frog's Barbecue, 3171 S U.S. 19, on Thursday night, according to an arrest report. Swartz asked to sing a karaoke song and was told he could request it by looking it up in the book. He became belligerent, the report states, and was escorted out the front door by the owner. Then he took out a folding knife, stabbed the rain gutter and also tore down some lights, according to the report. When a deputy arrived and arrested him, Swartz began to bang his head against the windows of the cruiser, according to the report, causing the window to become dislodged. He also spat on the car windows, according to the report. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and disorderly intoxication. He was released from jail Friday after posting bail.
