BAUER, VIOLA M., 81, of Crystal River, died Thursday (Feb. 16, 2006) at Cedar Creek ALF, Crystal River. Born in Ada, Minn., she came to this area in 1976 from Tampa. She was a registered nurse, and enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Yankeetown-Inglis Woman's Club, VFW Auxiliary and Creative Quilters. She was Catholic. Survivors include a son, James J. Wolfe, Punta Gorda; and two granddaughters, Cristin E. Wolfe, Boca Raton, and Shelby N. Wolfe, Orlando. Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.

CROWELL, OWEN N., 88, of Inverness, died Wednesday (Feb. 15, 2006) in Inverness. Born in LaGrange County, Ind., he came here in 1987 from Colon, Mich. He was a supermarket and convenience store owner and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Moose Lodge Inverness, Leroy Rook VFW 4252 and Citrus County Model A Club. He enjoyed dancing. Survivors include his wife, Barbara A.; three sons, William R. Cobb, North Carolina, Steve E. Cobb, Goodyear, Ariz., and Robert L. Cobb, Wethersfield, Conn.; a brother, Orville, Sturgis, Mich.; four sisters, Roberta Grubb, Howe, Ind., June Cline, Bronson, Mich., Leda King, Traverse City, Mich., and Deeloris Terpenning, Muskegon, Mich.; and four grandchildren. FLIS, LANGENE L., 86, of Homosassa, died Sunday (Feb. 19, 2006) in the Citrus Hospital Hospice Unit Inverness. Born in Schenectady, N.Y., he came to this area six years ago from Orlando. He retired from law enforcement having been a private investigator and police officer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and attended St. Benedict Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Jean; two daughters, Marilyn Travers, Chiefland, and Linda Hirten, Bunnell; and two grandsons. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory, Inverness.

HUGGINS, BINDLEY R., 97, of Homosassa, died Saturday (Feb. 18, 2006) in Lecanto under the care of Hospice of Citrus County and his family. He was born in Williston. He was a Navy Seebee veteran of World War II and a retired carpenter for Central Truck Company. He also was a commercial fisherman and Protestant. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Dumas, Crystal River; a brother, J.T. Huggins, Homosassa; two sisters, Rose Erickson, Macon, Ga., and Margaret Wake, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren. Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs.

MOGOLIS, ALVIN R., 82, of Homosassa, died Sunday (Feb. 19, 2006) in Homosassa. Born in Equality, Ill., he came here in 1993 from Gladwin, Mich. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired police officer. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Gary R., Poison, Mont., and Mark A., Novi, Mich.; a daughter, Regina A. Mazur, Brighton, Mich.; a sister, Louvenn Greaves, Garden Grove, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Hooper Funeral Homes, Homosassa.

PARTANSEN, ELEANOR M., 85, of Beverly Hills, died Saturday (Feb. 18, 2006) in Lecanto. Born in Brantwood, Wis., she came here in 1983 from New Berlin, Wis. She was a beautician and member of Beverly Hills Community Church. Survivors include her husband, Laurie A.; a son, Edward, Pompano; a daughter, Karen Frakes, Hales Corners, Wis.; a sister, Evelyn Hill, Mariana; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. WATSON, PEGGY JEAN, 55, of Lecanto, died Friday (Feb. 10, 2006) at home following a lengthy illness. Born in Plymouth, N.C., she came here in 1973 from Athens, Ga. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and employed in the finance department of Citrus County School Board with 30 years of service. She loved to travel, read and quilt. She was Baptist. Survivors include her parents, Lugene and Estelle Watson, Lecanto; a sister, Kathy Willis, Crystal River; a nephew, Chris Dyer; a niece; Amanda Willis; and a grandniece, Abby Dyer. Chas. E.
