AYERS, CHRISTINE ANN, 56, of Land O'Lakes, formerly of Tampa, died Tuesday (Feb. 21, 2006) in the University Community Hospital Tampa after an extended illness. She moved to Tampa in 1976 from her native Buffalo then 11 years ago moved to Land O'Lakes. She was a homemaker who loved animals. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; three sons, Brian Keith Riter, Kevin Bradley Riter and Jesse Lloyd Ayres, all of Land O'Lakes; her mother, Dorothy Hamilton, Brandon; a sister, Kathleen Emerson, Buffalo; and a brother, Pascal Monesi, Brandon. BLACK, EDNA F., 83, of Brooksville, formerly of Plant City, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006) in Heron Pointe Health of Brooksville. Born in Plant City, she came to the area 34 years ago from Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker. She was Protestant. CAIRNS, MARJORIE G. "MARGE," 78, of Tampa, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006) at home. Born in Albany, N.Y., she moved to the area in 1970. She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church and a Eucharistic minister for more than 35 years. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Stanley; and two sons, Paul, Tampa, and Mark, Clearwater. CATALDO, ANTHONY J. SR, 60, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Feb. 21, 2006) at Tampa General Hospital. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a foreman for a cement company. He also received the Vietnam service, Vietnam company and National Defense medals. He was a graduate of the military firefighting school. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M., Tampa; a son, Anthony Jr., Ravena, N.Y.; a daughter, Gina M. Cataldo, Ravena; a stepson, Lane Bergholt, Tampa; a brother, Lennie Cataldo; two sisters, Pat Covey, California, and Liz, Ravena; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. DILLON, NED A., 74, of Plant City, died Sunday (Feb. 12, 2006). Born in McDowell, W.Va., he came to the Tampa area in 1973 from Christiansburg, Va. He was a retired coal miner and an Air Force and Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his companion of 27 years, Lillian Love; three daughters, Geneva Tye and Janice Wright, both of Blakley, Ga., and Judy Hammack, New Hope; four sons, Ed Love and Coy Love Jr., both of Columbia, S.C., Jerome Love, Plant City, and Eugene Love, Lakeland; a brother, George Dillon, Parker; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. DYKES, JIM, 67, of Brandon, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006). He retired in 2003 after 44 years with Tampa Electric and was a Navy veteran. The 1956 graduate of Brandon High School enjoyed fishing and bowling. Survivors include his wife, Mavoline; a daughter, Melissa Mustain; a sister, Janice Smith; and a granddaughter, Olivia. GEIDEL, ROBERT C., 81, of Holiday, formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006) in Holiday. He was born in St. Paul, Minn. He moved from Houston to Tampa in 1961, to Bradenton in 1988 and to Holiday in 1999. He was the owner and operator of Bay Lake Inn & Marina in Tampa for 30 years and an Air Force veteran of World War II. He built the Skyway Park Little League in 1970. He was a 50-year member of SPEBSQSA. He enjoyed golf and was Methodist. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Darlene; four sons, Carl D., Andalusia, Ala., Robert S., Madeira Beach, and Kris T. and Todd J., both of Holiday; and three grandchildren. Thomas B. GREGORY, KATHERINE, 90, of Brandon, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006) at Melech Hospice House, Temple Terrace. Born in Tyler, Minn., she moved to Brandon in 2002 from Clearwater Beach. She was owner and operator of Marina Gifts on Clearwater Beach for 42 years. She was an avid tennis fan. JOHNSON, LOUISE, 99, of Lutz, died Tuesday (Feb. 21, 2006) at Brighton Gardens of Tampa. Born in Tippecanoe County, Ind., she moved to the area in 1992 from Hobart, Ind. She was a member of Tims Memorial Presbyterian Church of Lutz. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Gavenas, Lutz; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. MORGERA, PATRICIA ANN, 71, of Ruskin, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006). Born in Newark, N.J., she was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. SMITH, HAZEL CRAMER, 93, of Tampa, died Thursday (Feb. 16, 2006). Born in Gasport, N.Y., she moved to the area in 1946. SPENGLER, ELIZABETH VERA, 84, of Ruskin, died Thursday (Feb. 23, 2006) at her home. She was a retired nurse for Trinity Lakes Towers Nursing Homes in Sun City Center and a VFW life member. She attended St. Ann's Catholic Church in Ruskin. WILLIAMS, JOLEENE, 79, of Tampa, died Monday (Feb. 20, 2006). She moved the area 77 years ago from Illinois. She was a member of Ballast Point Baptist Church. WOODARD, CREIGHTON R. "WOODY," 74, of Dade City, formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006) in Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. He came to Dade City in 1978 after his military retirement. He was an Air Force veteran of Vietnam and a Bronze Star recipient. He was a member of the Dog Training Club of Tampa, American Miniature Schnauzer Association, Pasco County Computer Club, VFW, American Legion and Vermillion's Club. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty; two daughters, Kathleen Hewitt, Tallahassee, and Karen Woodard, Peoria, Ariz.; three sons, Creighton R.
