PET OF THE WEEK

Miss Piggy is a 4-year-old cat with a sweet personality and a pretty calico coat. While she likes people and loves to be doted on, Miss Piggy doesn't care for other pets and would do best in a one-cat household. Inquiries about adopting Miss Piggy or other cats and dogs can be made at the Humane Society of the Nature Coast shelter at Wiscon and Mobley roads, Brooksville. The shelter is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. The shelter is run strictly on donations; no government subsidies are provided. The adoption fee is $50 for cats, $75 for dogs, to cover the cost of some shots, spaying/neutering and deworming. For information, call 796-2711. Visit the Web site at www.naturecoasthumanesociety.org.
