Molestation suspect released on bail

Published Feb. 28, 2006

A 56-year-old Zephyrhills man posted bail and walked out of the county jail early Monday, several hours after Hillsborough sheriff's deputies charged him with molesting a 15-year-old boy. David William Sadler of 4829 Sixth St. S is accused of molesting the teen Sunday at a mobile home in Plant City. The teen's mother reported the alleged incident to authorities, said sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway. Investigators say Sadler, listed in jail records as a manager for the landscape materials store Wingate Supply in Tampa, knows the teen through a family friend. He was booked into the Orient Road Jail about 5 p.m. Sunday on one count of lewd and lascivious molestation on a person under 18, a second-degree felony. Jail records show he posted $7,500 bail and was released at 12:20 a.m. Monday.
