HILLSBOROUGH OBITUARIES

BOYER, JUSTIN LEROY JR., 86, of Sun City Center, died Saturday (Feb. 25, 2006) at home. He was born in Coatsville, Pa., and moved to St. Petersburg in 1967 from Everett, Pa., and then to Tarpon Springs in 1998 and to Sun City Center in 2005. He was an Army veteran and served in the Office of Strategic Services during World War II. He was a waste treatment worker with the City of St. Petersburg and retired in 1982. Survivors include a son, Justin L. III, Athens, Ga.; a daughter, Sondra Lee Matterness, Woodstock, Ill.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. BROWNLEE, ANNE, 97, of Sun City Center, died Friday (Feb. 24, 2006) at Sun Terrace Nursing Home. She was born in Pittsfield, Mass., and moved to the area following her husband's retirement. Survivors include a brother, Harold C. Olsen, Pittsfield; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Lewers Funeral Home, Ruskin.

CASEY, MICHAEL WALLACE, 21, of Tampa, died Saturday (Feb. 25, 2006). He attended Christ the King Catholic School and graduated from Sickles High School. He was a junior at University of South Florida where he was a business major. He worked in marketing for Sky Lounge. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Survivors include his parents, Nancy Wallace Buy and Michael D.; a brother, Jason Schaeffer; a sister, Christina Raeckers; his goddaughter, Frankie Elisabeth; a nephew, Miller; and his fraternal grandmother, Marie Casey. CRAWFORD, LEWIS WILSON SR., 66, of Plant City, died Sunday (Feb. 26, 2006). He was born in Baxter, Tenn., and was a longtime resident of the Tampa area. He was a service station operator for over 30 years and was in the trucking industry as a self-employed driver and operator. Survivors include his wife, Joyce; two sons, Lewis W. Jr., Mulberry, and Alton W. Hunt, Durant; two daughters, Pauline Reed, Brandon, and Jeanne Danley, Lake Wales; two brothers, Jimmy Whitehead, Akron, Ohio, and Frank Whitehead, Algood, Tenn.; two sisters, Geraldine Wise, Plant City, and Mary Nell Autrey, Gordonsville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. DUFFY, JOHN G. JR., 51, of Tampa, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2006). Survivors include several loving family members. Brewer & Sons Funeral Home, Miguel Fuentes Chapel, Tampa.

GARCIA, IGNACIO, 75, of Tampa, died Sunday (Feb. 26, 2006) at his home together with his family. Survivors include his wife, Isabel D.; a son, Jose M. "Tati;" a daughter, Doris Garcia-Torres; six grandchildren; and three step grandchildren. Gonzalez Funeral Home, Tampa.

SHALINSKY, JACOB ELLIOTT, infant son of Robin L. Rosenburg and Barry M. Shalinsky, of Tampa, died Monday (Feb. 27, 2006) at his home. He was born Feb. 24, 2006. Survivors include his maternal grandmother, Connie Leamond, Tampa; his maternal grandfather, Seth K. Rosenberg, Tampa; his paternal grandmother, Anne Shalinsky, Overland Park, Kan.
