NEW FLORIDA HOUSE SPEAKER MARCO RUBIO OF MIAMI PLEDGED THURSDAY THAT THE NEXT LEGISLATURE WILL AVOID THE NEGATIVITY HE SAYS HAS FOULED UP POLITICS AND WILL FOCUS ON SOLVING PROBLEMS, NO MATTER WHICH PARTY PROPOSES THE SOLUTIONS. RUBIO'S COMMENTS COME TWO DAYS AFTER HIS PARTY LOST AT LEAST SIX, PROBABLY SEVEN, HOUSE SEATS TO DEMOCRATS. HE WILL STILL OVERSEE A LIKELY 78-42 GOP MAJORITY. "I THINK WE HEARD 48 HOURS AGO FROM VOTERS ACROSS AMERICA, AND CERTAINLY FLORIDA, THAT POLITICS IS BROKEN IN AMERICA. AND THEY DON'T WANT A POLITICAL PROCESS THAT'S ABOUT BLAME. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE ERA OF PROBLEM SOLVERS," RUBIO SAID.
