Community United Methodist Church, 3214 U.S. 19, offers the sermon "Stir Up One Another" by Dan Campbell, pastor, at 11 a.m. Sunday. The newcomers class meets at 9:30 a.m. in the administration building. Call (727) 937-3268.


St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 15801 U.S. 19, now offers a program for middle school students. At 10 a.m. Sunday, the group will be given the calendar for 2007, which includes social events, as well as educational opportunities. The youth will also participate in this Sunday's worship service. Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 12321 Canton Ave., offers a contemporary Music and Majesty Service at 6 tonight and worship services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday. Communion will be celebrated at all services. At 10 a.m. Thursday the church will have a Thanksgiving service with communion. Call (727) 863-6446.


Land O'Lakes Church of God, 8337 Land O'Lakes Blvd., hosts a community Thanksgiving service at 6 p.m. Sunday. The offering will benefit Christian Social Services. Call (813) 996-3548.


Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 20735 Leonard Road, offers Thanksgiving services at 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. "The Year in Review" is the topic of the sermon for Nov. 26. A Christmas Dinner Theatre presentation, "I Have Seen the Light" is scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 1; and at 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at the church. Call (813) 949-7173.

First United Methodist Church of Lutz, 207 W Lutz- Lake Fern Road, offers "Old Tyme Thanksgiving Services" at 8:15, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday. Attendees are encouraged to wear old-fashioned attire. Homemade holiday breads and hot apple cider will be served between services in the church fellowship hall. After the 11 a.m. service, the congregation will have a picnic at the new church property at 928 W Lutz-Lake Fern Road (1.3 miles west of the church). Living Word Church, 5151 Rowan Road, presents the Ditchfield Family Singers at 7 p.m. Nov. 30. Widely known throughout the state, the group is made up of a mother, father and their adult children who sing a cappella. The father and three sons make up a barbershop quartet that won the national championship for the state of Florida in 2003. Admission is free, but an offering will be taken. Call (727) 845-8877.

Faith Lutheran Church, 5443 Sunset Road, will have former pastor Joe Meyer, who currently serves the Lutheran Church in Midwest City, Okla., as the guest preacher at the 10 a.m. combined worship service Sunday. This service will celebrate the church's 50th anniversary with the theme of "Carrying the Light ... Yesterday, Today and Forever." Call (727) 849-4418.


First Baptist Church of Jasmine Lakes, 6835 Jasmine Blvd., offers an evening of contemporary praise and worship from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturdays. The small group atmosphere lends to discussion of a variety of topics, and refreshments are provided. A free caf will be open after the worship service. Call (727) 863-5467.

First Presbyterian Church of Port Richey, 7540 Ridge Road, offers a Thanksgiving Eve worship service at 7 p.m. Nov. 22. Tea and refreshments will be served after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Call (727) 849-1898.

Congregation Beth Tefillah, which meets at the Jewish Community Center of West Pasco, 9841 Scenic Drive, offers adult education classes at 11 a.m. Monday and Nov. 27, and at 11 a.m. Dec. 4, 11, 18 and 25. The Women's Club meeting is 12:30 p.m. Nov. 29. Shabbat services are at 8 p.m. each Friday in the Rose Siegal Berkowitz Sanctuary at the center. Services are also at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays. King of Kings Lutheran Church, 10337 U.S. 19, will have a celebration of the cancellation of the church's indebtedness at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Interim Pastor Howard Nielsen will officiate, and Holy Communion will be celebrated. Members of the community are invited to attend the Community Thanksgiving Eve service at 6 p.m. Nov. 22. Nielsen will conduct the service, and Miriam Wysock will direct the choir. After the service, coffee and pie will be served. Call (727) 868-5744.
