A Clearwater couple and their baby boy were hospitalized the day before Thanksgiving after their car crashed into a utility pole in Jefferson County in northern Florida, authorities said.
The three, Michael H. Eurbin, 25, Aimee L. Woodall, 23, and their 3-month-old son, Tanner D. Eurbin, were headed to Alabama to spend Thanksgiving with Woodall's family, said Terri Eurbin, Michael Eurbin's aunt.
At 8:40 a.m., the 2001 GMC pickup was heading west on State Road 20 in the inside lane when it veered onto the grass median, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Eurbin, who was driving, overcorrected as he tried to re-enter the westbound lanes, the report said. The truck started to rotate clockwise and continued to spin across both westbound lanes onto the north shoulder of the road and hit a utility pole.
Eurbin, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck onto the north shoulder of the road.
The Highway Patrol said Eurbin and the baby were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with critical injuries and Woodall with serious injuries.
On Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said both Eurbin and the baby were listed in fair condition. Woodall was not listed as a patient.
