Former Kansas City Royal Buddy Biancalana will teach athletes how to reach their full potential through better mental and physical preparation in a "mind-body" workshop 7-8:30 p.m. Dec 5 at Citrus High cafeteria. Biancalana will teach athletes how to be more aware of proper mechanics through self awareness and confidence-building training. The workshop is open to athletes 12 and older. Citrus will host the Ed Kilpatrick Classic at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The 'Canes will honor wrestling alumni at 5 p.m. Any former wrestlers can contact Mike Porcelli at (352) 860-2592.


Citrus Springs & Lakeside Country Club is hosting a Citrus County Extravaganza 36-hole tournament to benefit Citrus County Family Resource Center. The Jan. 6-7 event is a medal-play tournament to the first 144 paid entries. First round will be played at Citrus Springs and final round at Lakeside. All flights will be limited to 12 players each. The minimum age is 60. Cost is $110 per golfer.
