Central Florida Community College News

* The school's Citrus campus will offer a class to help international travelers with their preparations.

"International Travel Safety and Packing Hints" will provide tricks to packing effectively, information on transportation, currency, cultural differences and ways to travel most safely in foreign countries. This class will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday in Room L2-112A. The fee for each class is $25. For registration or information, call Amy Holaday at (352) 249-1210.

* The college seeks part-time faculty members for a variety of courses for the spring semester. A master's degree with 18 graduate credits in the corresponding field of study is required unless otherwise noted.

On the Ocala campus, instructors are needed in the following positions: associate degree in nursing; Beginning Costume Makeup; biology; business economics; Clarinet-Saxophone-Woodwind Doubling, requires bachelor's degree and teaching experience; College Preparatory Mathematics, requires bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics or related field; College Preparatory Reading; Educational Psychology; Educational Technology; English as a Second Language; French; humanities; international relations; Introduction to Education; Living in the Environment; mathematics; medical coding (advanced coding); microbiology; nursing (ADN), requires BSN and at least two years of clinical experience; medical-surgical, obstetrical and pediatric; nutrition; oceanography; political science; practical nursing, requires BSN; Scene Painting for Theater; sound design; Spanish; stage lighting; and Violin-Viola-String Ensemble, requires bachelor's degree and teaching experience.

On the Citrus campus, instructors are needed in anatomy and physiology; biological sciences - environmental science; business economics; business ethics; business, financial accounting; chemistry; College Preparatory English I and II; College Preparatory Math, requires bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics or related field; College Preparatory Reading, requires bachelor's degree or higher in reading; Earth Science; English Composition Skills I - Writing; English Composition Skills II - Literature; French; humanities; mathematics; microbiology; nutrition; philosophy; Physical Sciences - Chemistry, Earth Science, oceanography, physics; psychology; social science; sociology; Spanish; speech; Wellness.
