Woodcarving show: sponsored by the Nature Coast Carving Club from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Citrus County Auditorium, 3610 S Florida Ave., Inverness. Continual demonstrations, vendors selling supplies, woods, instruction books, finishing material, knives and more. Approximately 100 carved Christmas ornaments given as door prizes. Admission, $2. Santa Fly-In: sponsored by Tri-County R/C/ Club begins at 8:30 a.m. at the club's fly field on Bridges Road in Dunnellon. Landing fee is a new unwrapped toy with a value of at least $10. Spectators welcome and encouraged to bring a toy for the Toys for the Kids drive cosponsored by the Dunnellon Fire Department. Rainbow Cafe open. Call Chris at 527-9893.

Day two of sale: An antique and collectible sale is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at 9115 N Arcadia Way, Citrus Springs. The sale will benefit the Covenant Children's Home, a facility to house eight school-age children in need of long term shelter. Jam session: Citrus Jazz Society jam session of jazz and Dixieland music starts at 1:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of the Plantation Inn, 9301 Fort Island Trail, Crystal River. Music will be provided by local members;dancing is encouraged. Donation: nonmembers, $7. Call 795-9936.

Singing Christmas Tree: The Celebration Choir and dance and drama participants of Crystal River First Baptist Church will present the first performance of Journey to the Manger at 4 p.m., 700 Citrus Ave., Crystal River.
