TAKE A STROLL THROUGH HISTORY AT ANNUAL HOME TOUR

Tickets are available for the seventh annual Historic Tour of Homes that will be Dec. 10 in downtown Brooksville. There will be three tours at 1, 2 and 3 p.m., leaving from the First Methodist Church parking lot, 109 S Broad St.

The tour will include stops at four homes along Brooksville Avenue that date back to 1914, as well as a stop at the Brooksville Woman's Club at 131 S Main St., where hot cider and cookies will be served.

HUDSON

Starry night, with jazz, food and fun

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church will host "Jazz Under the Stars" from 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9 on church grounds, 14236 County Line Road, on the Hernando-Pasco county border.

Musicians include Mike MacArthur, Arthur Hallett, Unity and the Northenders.

Food vendors will be on site. Face painting will be provided from 3 to 4 p.m. Games and activities will include moon walks, pool, air hockey, pingpong and movies.

Gifts will be collected for the Homeless Coalition and Hope Youth Ranch. Attendees can bring their lawn chairs or blankets (no coolers allowed).

Sing, dance, act? Try out for local musical.

Richey Suncoast Theatre will have auditions for the musical Anything Goes at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the theater, 6237 Grand Blvd.

There are roles for male and female singers, dancers, singer-dancers and actors of all ages. Experienced and novice stage crew members are also needed.

The director is John Masterson. Production dates are Feb. 22 to March 11. Call 842-6777.

Learn about those pesky bugs that bite and sting

A free class called "Ouch!" will be presented at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Forest Oaks Government Center, 7479 Forest Oaks Blvd.

The speaker will be Natural Resources Agent Joan Bradshaw of the Hernando County Cooperative Extension Service, who will discuss biting and stinging insects in the central Florida area.
