Dolphins bring up Cobbs for RB depth

The Dolphins promoted running back Patrick Cobbs from the practice squad, a move designed to add depth behind injured starter Ronnie Brown.

Cobbs, a rookie out of North Texas, will join Sammy Morris and Travis Minor at running back today against the Jaguars.

Brown will miss the game after surgery to repair the fractured left hand he suffered against Detroit on Thanksgiving Day.

JETS: Wide receiver Tim Dwight was placed on injured reserve, ending his season because of a foot injury. Receiver Wallace Wright was activated from the practice squad to fill the roster spot. Dwight, in his ninth NFL season, was listed as questionable all week for New York's game at Green Bay with foot and thigh injuries, and didn't fully participate in practice.

REDSKINS: Linebacker Khary Campbell, the team's leading tackler on special teams, will miss today's game against the Falcons with a hamstring injury. Safety Troy Vincent missed last week's game with a sore hamstring and is listed as questionable for today. Right tackle Jon Jansen practiced and is expected to play, despite a nagging calf injury.
