HUDSON LIBRARY

Homework help center: 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Trained teen tutors will help with homework, FCAT preparation, reading practice and more.

Teen Advisory Board: Makes suggestions on teen programs, books and other material. Call for meeting dates and times.

Anime Club: 5 p.m. Tuesday. Teens come to watch Anime, play video games and other activities. Bring a friend!

Basic Computer Skills I: 10 a.m. Wednesday. In person registration requested.

Winter Ornament Class: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jean Metzenthin of the West Pasco Art Guild will demonstrate how to make creative winter-themed ornaments. Registration requested.

Toddler story time: 10 a.m. Thursdays through Feb. 22. For ages 1-2. Registration requested.

Preschool story time: 10:45 a.m. Thursdays through Feb. 22. For ages 3-5. Registration requested.

Noisy story time: 11 a.m. Saturdays through Dec. 30. A program especially for those developmentally between the ages of 1-5.

Family Night Out: 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Feb. 28. Stories, songs and activities.

Baby story time: 11:30 a.m. Thursdays through Feb. 22. A program especially for babies from birth to age 1. Registration requested.

Trading Card Tournament: 2 p.m. Saturday. Elementary school-age children are invited to play Yu-Gi-Oh, Naruto, Pokemon and more!

NEW PORT RICHEY PUBLIC LIBRARY

Entertainment passes: New Port Richey Library cardholders can now book passes to a Richey Suncoast Theatre production, the Pioneer Florida Museum and Village, MOSI, Leepa-Ratner Museum of Art and Great Explorations. Visit your library to learn more.

Talking books: New Port Richey Library now subscribes to an online collection of animated talking picture books. They teach young children the joys of reading in a format they'll love. Visit nprlibrary.org/kids.

Recycle printer cartridges: Patrons are asked to save inkjet printer cartridges for the library. These recycling efforts raise funds for the Friends of the New Port Richey Public Library.

Storyline is now open. Any child can call (727) 853-1276 to hear a fun, free story, day or night. A new story will be posted by Ms. Kristie every Thursday morning.

Live homework help: Free online tutoring every day from 4 to 10 p.m. Students in grades 4-12 and college introduction can now connect one-on-one with real tutors in math, science, English and social studies. Visit www.nprlibrary.org.

Writers hour: 4 to 5 p.m. Mondays. A time to work on writing and query others in the group. Open to all writers.

The library is at a temporary location in a storefront at the Shoppes at Golden Acres, 9820 Little Road, New Port Richey, until construction is completed on the new library, which is expected to take up to one year.
