Hillsborough Run: The Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department hosts the Heart of Hillsborough 5K Run. The run is a cross-country event that explores the trails of Lake Park. Male and female age group awards for the 5K includes 13 age divisions. 7:30 a.m. Saturday Dec. 16; Lake Park, 17302 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa; entry fee is $20. Neuter Scooter: The Animal Coalition of Tampa provides free transportation for pet owners seeking to spay/neuter their pets. The Neuter Scooter picks up the pet at a drop off site and takes it to ACT's Spay Neuter Clinic in South Tampa. The pet will be returned that same afternoon after surgery. Complimentary doughnuts are provided at all pickup locations for pet owners dropping off their pets. Pickup time is 7 a.m. Pet owners are asked to make reservations by calling the ACT Spay Neuter Clinic. If a group would like a particular area to be served by the Neuter Scooter, in any county, they can make that request by calling the ACT. The Neuter Scooter does not pick up at homes. The next pickup sites are Tuesday at Petco, 136 S West Shore Blvd., Tampa; Wednesday at Dunkin' Donuts, 5302 E Busch Blvd., Tampa; and Thursday at Three Legged Poodle, 715 Imar Drive, Sun City Center. Democratic Women's Club: Hillsborough County Democratic Women's Club holds a Holiday Supper Meeting. Members and guests to order individually from the menu.
