Dwight Howard had 16 points and Hedo Turkoglu added 15 for the Magic, which had its roughest night on what had been a stellar road trip.
The Magic, which still has the best record in the Eastern Conference, was 3-0 on the trip and had won four straight on the road overall. The Magic has lost just twice in 12 games.
The Clippers led by 17 at halftime, and the Magic was within single digits just twice in the second half.
Corey Maggette added 17 points and Sam Cassell had 13 for the Clippers, who shot 60.3 percent from the field.
Brand, who had 17 points in the first quarter and 21 in the first half, hit jumpers from all over the floor and finished two points short of his season high.
The Magic opened the second half with a 14-5 run but fell behind quickly in the fourth quarter.
