Through Dec. 25

'A Show Palace Christmas': Holiday glitz and glamor at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Shows are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays, and 1:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. some Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Doors open two hours before each show for buffet and cash bar. Main Street Holidays: The River Lights Boat Parade and the Holiday Rotary Club Street Parade will highlight Main Street Holidays in downtown New Port Richey. There will be a Shop 'n stroll of downtown shops until 7 p.m. today. Today, there will be visits with Santa from noon to 3 p.m. in Sims Park and the River Lights Boat Parade at 6:30 p.m. from Moonlight Bay to Sims Park, followed by a performance by Expressions, the Dance Company in the amphitheater. Today and Sunday there will be Miss Daisy Boat Tours on the Cotee River ($5), food vendors and a Holiday Arts and Crafts Village from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and children's arts and crafts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, children and parents may join Santa and Mrs. Claus for breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. ($3 for pancakes, sausage and juice; gifts for the first 100 children) in the park. Genesis School will perform "Christmas Around the World" at 3:30 p.m. On Dec. 9, the Holiday Rotary Club Street Parade will be at 7 p.m.


Thursday Musicale: The non-sectarian chorus of 50 women will present a concert at 2 p.m. at Living Word Church, 5151 Rowan Road, New Port Richey. Guest performer is John Timpanelli. Admission is free, but an offering will be accepted.

Dec. 15-17

The 1940s Radio Hour: The musical, set in a 1942 radio station, will be presented at 8 p.m. Dec. 8, 9, 15 and 16 and 2 p.m. Dec. 10 and 17 at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Tickets are $15, reserved seating, $13 members and students. Call 942-5605.


Ozark Mountain Christmas Show: Pasco-Hernando Community College Foundation will present the Ozark Mountain Christmas Show at 2 and 7 p.m. at the PHCC Performing Arts Center, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. Tickets are $16, $18 and $20. Call (727) 816-3707.


Angels on High: Spring Hill Community Association will present "Angels on High," an exhibit of individually designed angel cut-outs, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the association clubhouse, 1202 Kenlake Avenue, Spring Hill. Nightly entertainment, visits with Santa. Admission free, but donations accepted.


Spinnations Skating Show: Florida Skating Academy will present its 9th annual holiday roller skating show, "Old Time Rock and Roll," at 2 p.m., featuring World Dance Champions Adam White and Melissa Quinn. Tickets are $10 in advance for adults, $6 for ages 12 and younger. At the door, $12 and $10 (if available). Tickets on sale at Spinnations Skating Center noon to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2.

Sunday and Dec. 11

Richey Suncoast Theatre auditions: Richey Suncoast Theatre and the Pasco Education Foundation will hold auditions for high school students to perform in the annual Ticket to Broadway show to raise funds for scholarships for students seeking a degree in the performing arts. Pasco high school students who play a musical instrument, sing, dance, or do comedy or acrobatics are eligible to audition. Those who audition should use the material they will do in the show itself. The show will be at 8 p.m. Feb. 2 and 3 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 4. Director is Marie Skelton. Call 842-6777 for information.

DEC. 13 AND 20

ArtBiz Workshop: Pasco Arts Council will hold two workshops, "ArtBiz: Preparing to Show Your Work," from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 13 and 20 at the art center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. The sessions are for adult artists who are preparing their work to enter art shows or sell in a gallery. They cover selecting work to submit, framing, pricing, ethics, marketing and more. Fee is $22 for PAC members, $32 for non-members. Registration in advance is required. Call (727) 845-7322. Frank Parson's Big Band: "Christmas Party" is the theme for the big band concert at 2 p.m. at Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. Hula dancer Pomaika'i "Po" Nash will interpret Hawaiian Christmas Music in the Dance of the Islands. Singers are Liz Antony and Johnnie Russell. Tickets are $7. Call (727) 842-6777.

Men's Jubilee Singers: Guest performers at the Performing Arts Guild of Pasco County's holiday party will be the Men's Jubilee Singers. The event is at 2 p.m. at the King of Glory Lutheran Church, 4820 Floramar Terrace, New Port Richey. Those who attend should bring refreshments to share.

Chekhov at Leepa-Rattner: Two farces by Russia's Anton Chekhov, The Bear and The Proposal, will be presented at 7 p.m. Dec. 13, 14 and 15 and 2 p.m. Dec. 16 and 17 at Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art auditorium, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. Feb. 16-18

Shakespeare by the River:The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) will highlight the second annual Shakespeare by the River festival in Sims Park and at Richey Suncoast Theatre in New Port Richey. The play will be at 4 p.m. Feb. 17 and 18. Other events are the movie The Two Gentlemen of Verona shown at the indoor theater, talks on history and music of time, nightly Torchlight Tourneys, food vendors and other era-appropriate activities.
