Police released the identities of the two teens injured in Friday's truck crash.
The two were riding in the back of a pickup Friday when they were ejected from the truck during a crash with another truck.
James Keyon 17, 2850 N Crede Ave and Robert Williams 15, 472 Elmswood Point, were in the bed of a truck driven by William Mramor, 21, of 5531 N Persimmon Drive, Beverly Hills, when it was involved in a crash at 5:39 p.m., said Crystal River police Chief Steven Burch.
Mramor, northbound on NE Eighth Avenue, slowed or stopped for a stop sign on State Road 44, then pulled into the path of a westbound Ford F-450 construction truck, police said. The impact caused Mramor's pickup to spin, ejecting both Williams and Keyon. Police described their injuries as serious. Williams was transported to Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River. No report of his condition was available. Keyon was also taken to Seven Rivers, but then transported to Tampa General Hospital. He remained in critical condition Sunday, said a TGH spokeswoman. Neither Mramor nor William Harrison, 39, of Homosassa, the driver of the construction truck, was injured.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending the result of blood tests, Burch said.
