Martin Larsen of Port Richey joined other accounting and tax professionals at the National Accounting and Tax Symposium held in Orlando. The two day seminar was conducted by the National Society of Accountants with headquarters in Alexandria, Va. Larsen earned 16 hours of continuing professional education in accounting taxation and ethics.

The Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point has announced the following individuals completing the Adult Critical Care Course: Bini Thomas, SICU; Lois Yates, SSU; Gina Tannenbaum, Neuro/Spine; Christine Coombs, CCU; Kelly Berlin, CSSU; Cynthia Kelly, AAS and Robin Seamon, AAS.

Dr. Myron Graff of New Port Richey, had his seventh annual Hygienist Dinner at Spartan Manor. There were 96 hygienists present. The subject was Perio and Beyond.

The guest speaker was Dr. J. Michael Hall, an oral pathologist and the director of the dental hygiene program at Pasco- Hernando Community College.

There were 12 tables with food baskets for centerpieces and all were donated to the Salvation Army Spouse Abuse Shelter.

Dr. Lee Grossbard will present a free informational session to learn about the LAP-BAND System on Monday, Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point Conference Center, located on the campus of the hospital, 14000 Fivay Road in Hudson. Pasco Wachovia Banks is having a fundraiser. They are selling Boyd's Teddy Bears for $10 each. They are 14 inches tall. Proceeds will go to All Children's Hospital Guild of New Port Richey.

Target stores will partner with United Way of Pasco County in Target's Share A Tree Program. Target stores will be donating a total of 12 fully decorated Christmas trees to United Way of Pasco County.

United Way will be giving these trees to 12 families across Pasco that might not otherwise be able to have a tree this holiday season. Each tree is between 7 to 7-1/2 feet tall and is currently on display in the stores. The United Way will pick them up on Dec. 22 and distribute them to the families.
