Baseball/Softball

Crystal River Little League is holding the 2007 baseball and softball signups on: Thursday at Bicentennial field in Crystal River from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Dec. 16 at Dazzy Vance field in Homossassa from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; Jan. 10 at Bicentennial Fields in Crystal River from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Jan. 13 at Bicentennial Fields in Crystal River from 9:00 a.m.-1 p.m.; Jan. 17 at Bicentennial Fields in Crystal River from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Jan. 20 at Bicentennial Fields in Crystal River from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Parents will need to bring a copy of their child's birth certificate and three proofs of residency including a driver's license or state ID. Parents are asked to contribute some volunteer time. Golf

Citrus Springs & Lakeside Country Club hosts a Citrus County Extravaganza 36-hole tournament to benefit Citrus County Family Resource Center. The Jan. 6-7 event is a medal-play tournament to the first 144 paid entries. First round is at Citrus Springs and final round at Lakeside. All flights will be limited to 12 players each. The minimum age is 60. Cost is $110 per golfer.

Entry fee includes golf, carts, range balls, dinner, continental breakfast, goody bag, special events and chances for prizes. For more information, call John Land at 352-489-5045.
