Community Chorus' holiday concert

The Dunedin Community Chorus will present a holiday concert, "Sing Holiday Alleluias!" at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 705 Michigan Blvd. The program will include a variety of musical styles. A free will offering will be accepted. Call 298-3286.


Celebrate the holiday with your favorite pet

Holiday with the Hounds is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 16 at Happy Tails Dog Park, 3051 Garrison Road. Celebrate the season with your pet with a hot dog cookout for owners and a gift exchange of wrapped dog-related items under $5, such as dog bones, dug brush, collar. etc. Call 298-3288 for more information.


Dunedin holiday festival is today

Dunedin's annual holiday festival is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Edgewater Park and includes entertainment, a craft show and holiday activities. The parade, with more than units and Santa, begins at 11 a.m. on Alt. U.S. 19, south of Wilson Street and passes Edgewater Park.


Moscow Boys Choir is coming to town

The Moscow Boys Choir will present "Christmas Around the World" at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 E Pine St. The choir is one of Russia's most prestigious all-boy choirs. Members of the company are hand-picked from students at a special school in Moscow. Tickets are $23 for center members and students, $25 for on-members. Call (727) 942-5605.


Decorated boat parade to be held today

The 32nd Island Estates Yacht Club's memorial boat parade is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. today. The rain date is Sunday.

This year's parade will honor Beverly Fey, Paul Adair and Nancy Warfield.

The decorated boats will assemble in Mandalay Channel between Island Estates and Clearwater Beach at 6 p.m. and head through Island Estates' canals starting at 6:30 before going to Coachman Park around 8 p.m. The boats then will go under the Memorial Causeway Bridge, turning into the Clearwater Marina channel before navigating to the Clearwater Yacht Club judging stand.

Holiday concert at Hale Activity Center

A holiday concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Hale Activity Center, 330 Douglas Ave. Call 298-3260.


Poster art for next Jazz Holiday sought

Organizers of the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, held annually at Coachman Park on the third weekend of October, are seeking art for next year's poster.

The poster design must include blank space that does not interfere with the design for sponsor logos or the weekend's lineup. Submissions should be printed in color, at least 11 by 17 inches. The deadline is Jan. 8, 2007.

Send entries to Gary Hallas, Clearwater Jazz Holiday, P.O. Box 7278, Clearwater, FL 33758. Several artists will be selected by Jan. 29, 2007, to receive $200 to develop their ideas.

The final poster design will be chosen by Feb. 23, 2007. The prize for the winning design is $2,000.

Breakfast and a picture with Santa
