Hillsborough Obituaries

Adair, Angeline R., 87, of Sun City Center, died Wednesday (Dec. 6, 2006) at home. She was born in Lebanon, Ind., and was a homemaker and an active community volunteer. She was past president and held other offices in the Ruskin Women's Club. She was a Ruskin library tutor and board member. She served as an Air Force family services coordinator for more than 20 years, and was a volunteer at the Sun City Center Hospital for more than 17 years. She was on the governing board of the Ruskin Cemetery Association and was a former Ruskin Woman of the Year. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Donald A.; a daughter, Donna Elaine Ainsburg, Franklin, N.C.; and one grandchild. Lewers Funeral Home, Ruskin.

Jones, Athena Elizabeth, 73, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Tampa, died Monday (Dec. 4, 2006) at home.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, retired Air Force Maj. Robert R. Jones; a daughter, Carin Lynn Perry; a son, Michael Cornelius; a sister, Mary Margaret Young; two brothers, Bobby and Randy Poston; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Pullara, Leah Reina, 99, of Tampa, died Thursday (Dec. 7, 2006). She was a Tampa native and Catholic. She was a 1927 graduate of Hillsborough High School. She was a retired seamstress. Survivors include a son, Louis Pullara; a daughter, Antoinette "Sister" Pullara; two sisters, Lena R. Cacciatore and Mary R. Guagliardo; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
