Deja vu for Land O'Lakes led to a conference championship for Mitchell.
Tuesday, the Gators (11-4) broke a tie in the seventh inning to go up two on River Ridge, but the Knights came back to win.
Friday, the Gators broke a tie in the seventh to go up two on Mitchell (11-5), but the Mustangs rallied to win, 3-2.
"I am more proud of the way the girls played this game," Land O'Lakes coach Jamie Martin said.
Facing two outs in the seventh, the Mustangs rallied behind Ciara Seymour. After Mitchell loaded the bases, Seymour, 0-for-3 to that point, drove in two runs, tying the game.
Seymour stepped up again in the ninth. With runners on first and second, she hit the ball to the fence, driving home Ashley Stager and helping the Mustangs walk away with the win.
Without a loss in the Sunshine Athletic Conference and every other team with two or more, the Mustangs clinched the championship. Even if they drop their last conference game, they will remain on top.
"It was big. I was really looking forward to this game," Mitchell coach Scott Bisbe said. "I knew it was going to be a pitching duel, and it was."
