The musical Singin' in the Rain continues through Sunday at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Shows are at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Richey Concert Band will present its Concert in the Park at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the bandshell at Sims Park, downtown New Port Richey. The program includes Barry Manilow's Can't Smile Without You, the Beatles' When I'm 64 and others. Bring a folding chair and picnic lunch.

The History Club of New Port Richey Library will discuss "Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant - Why?" at 2 p.m. Monday at the city library, 5939 Main St., New Port Richey. The discussion leader is Jerry Ciarcia.

The movie Rocky Balboa will be shown at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Tarpon Springs Community Center, 400 S Walton Ave., Tarpon Springs. Admission is free.

The History Club of the Tarpon Springs Library on Lemon Street will discuss the Continental Congress at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, led by Jerry Ciarcia.

Frank Parson's Big Band will play a Duke Ellington Tribute at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Richey Suncoast Theatre, 6237 Grand. Blvd., New Port Richey. Tickets are $7. The May 16 show is Spring Fest with tickets on sale for $6. Call (727) 842-6777.

Wagner's opera Das Rheingold will be performed in English at 8 p.m. April 20 and 27 and 2 p.m. April 22 and 29 at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Tickets are $16. Call (727) 942-5605. An introduction and discussion of the opera will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave. (Alt. 19). The Jacaranda Poetry Festival and Awards will be held at 1 p.m. April 21 at the Pasco Arts Council, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. Some 113 poems were entered in the first festival competition, and winners will be announced sometime during the afternoon. Performance poet Stazja McFadyen will read some of the entries. Other poets will read their own or others' entries.

"Shakespeare's Sisters, Shakespeare's Sonnets" will be the topic of an interactive presentation by Carmine Bell at 3 p.m. April 21 at New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St., New Port Richey. Works by Shakespeare and female sonnet writers Lady Mary Wroth, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Edna St. Vincent Millay will be discussed. Ms. Bell teaches at Pasco-Hernando Community College.

The Thursday Musicale women's chorus will present singers John and Mary K. Wilson at 2 p.m. April 22 at Living Word Church, 5151 Rowan Road, New Port Richey. Tickets are $5, available only in advance by calling (727) 841-7631 or (727) 847-5920. No tickets will be sold at the door.

REDISCOVERING BEAUTY

'Kyoto Rediscovered: Paintings and Collages by Jim Sikes' is at the Pasco Art Council's art center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday, through May 5. A reception with the artist is from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Free.
