HIGH FIVES

A group of local health care professionals affiliated with Morton Plant Mease and Orthopedic Associates of West Florida in Trinity recently gave high school athletes free physicals. With the competitiveness of today's student athletes, thorough evaluations are essential and required by the State Athletic Association before a student may participate in high school athletics. Dr. David P. Thompson and Dr. Nishin S. Tambay from Orthopedic Associates said they were honored to be a part of this effort. "This has given us as physicians and health care professionals a chance to reach out and educate local high school athletes and their parents," Dr. Tambay said. "By holding free clinics like this one, we are able to prepare our kids with the proper knowledge to more adequately meet the demands of high school athletes while sustaining less injuries."
