Navy Ensign Justin T. Fujimura recently completed the four-year officer development program at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

Fujimura learned basic skills in seamanship, navigation, infantry drill, marksmanship and sailing; and studied courses in engineering, science, mathematics, humanities and social science while undergoing extensive training in leadership, discipline, athletics and character development. Fujimura also fulfilled the community relations requirements.

All Naval Academy graduates receive a bachelor of science degree upon completion of their four-year training.

The ensign is the son of Kelly W. Fujimura of Belleair and Dwayne M. Fujimura of Palm Harbor. Fujimura is a 2000 graduate of Tarpon Springs High School.

Navy Ensign Chaseton S. Hobby recently completed the four-year officer development program at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

Hobby learned basic skills in seamanship, navigation, infantry drill, marksmanship and sailing. He also studied courses in engineering, science, mathematics, humanities and social science while undergoing extensive training in leadership, discipline, athletics and character development and fulfilled the community relations requirements. The ensign is the son of Jacqui Hobby of Clearwater and Phillip Hobby of Safety Harbor.

Hobby is a 2003 graduate of Countryside High, Clearwater.

Air Force Airman John D. McPherson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations.

He is the son of Charles and Donna McPherson of Largo.

McPherson is a 2004 graduate of Largo High School.
