Well, not the game for today, but the game for Christmas Day. The NBA schedule won't be released until next week, but the (Cleveland) Plain Dealer is reporting that after you open your presents and eat your turkey and ham, you can sit back and enjoy LeBron James and the Cavs taking on Shaq and the Miami Heat.
Building project of the day
Ever build a house and have to cut out some amenities to save a few bucks? Well, the folks in London are being told to do the same with their Olympic Stadium. Actually, Team McAlpine, the builders, are being told to cut about $410-million. When London won the bid for the 2012 Olympics three years ago, Team McAlpine said the stadium would cost about $574-million, but its recent plans called for a budget of $1.43-billion. Organizers have freaked out and are demanding the costs be cut almost in half.
Analyst of the day
As I hinted earlier this week, former Islanders coach and GM Mike Milbury was officially named Thursday as studio analyst for NBC's NHL Game of the Week. The studio show, which had featured host Bill Clement with analysts Brett Hull and Ray Ferraro live from Rockefeller Plaza, will now have Milbury with new host Pierre McGuire and will be live on location from game sites. McGuire will continue to serve as the "Inside the Glass'' analyst.
