THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE THE TRAFFIC JAM...

A 4-mile sewage pipe, running roughly from N 12th Street to N 29th Street, needs to be repaired, and streets in East Tampa, Sulphur Springs and Seminole Heights could be affected. Residents can learn more about the $16-million project during three public meetings this week: Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cyrus Greene Community Center, 2101 E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.; Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Seminole Heights Garden Club, 5800 N Central Ave.; and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the George Bartholomew North Tampa Community Center, 8608 12th St. For more information, call the Tampa wastewater department at 274-8108.
