A "Requesting Pediatric Intensive Care Action" event to bring awareness of the need for a local pediatric intensive care facility will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Delta Woods Park, 3400 Deltona Blvd. There will be free hot dogs, popcorn and refreshments, face painting, music and Spring Hill fire trucks on display. There will be raffles with numerous prizes, as well as a variety of activities for children. Visitors can sign petitions and donations will be accepted for the Our Baby R.I.A. The Coast Guard Auxiliary will present "Who We Are and What We Do" from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the auxiliary, 4340 Calienta St. This free program will familiarize people with all aspects of the auxiliary, including member training, public education and community outreach, as well as training opportunities available. Young actors work a Disney musical
Brookridge Entertainment will present Disney's High School Musical on Aug. 9 at the new Brookridge Club House, 8161 Hampton St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and showtime is 7 p.m. The musical will be performed by the Applause Performance Company, with actors ages 4 to 17 performing.
