Violence: At least 13 people were killed Sunday in violence that included explosions in the capital. Baghdad police also recovered 17 bodies from the streets.
U.S. deaths: The military reported that two American soldiers were killed Sunday - one north of Baghdad and one in eastern Baghdad.
Diplomacy: Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said Sunday that ally Saudi Arabia was undermining efforts to stabilize Iraq. "Saudi Arabia and a number of other countries are not doing all they can to help us in Iraq," he said. "At times, some of them are not only not helping, but they are doing things that are undermining the effort to make progress."
