MASTER GARDENERS WILL ANSWER QUESTIONS

SPRING HILL/BROOKSVILLE

Residents are encouraged to bring their questions about landscaping and gardening to the volunteer master gardeners with the Hernando County Cooperative Extension Service.

The master gardeners are available 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays at the Forest Oaks Government Center, 7479 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the extension office, 19490 Oliver St., Brooksville.

All are University of Florida-trained master gardeners. To speak to one in the Spring Hill office, call 540-6232. To reach the Brooksville office, call 754-4433.

BROOKSVILLE

HEART tutors needed, training available

HEART Adult Literacy Program needs volunteer tutors to teach adults reading, language and math skills.

A training class will be offered to new volunteers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 17 at the HEART office, 801 N Broad St. There will be a 30 minute break for lunch.
