Seminole High and Seminole Middle schools will have new faces in the administrative suite this school year.
Walter Weller will take the helm as Seminole High's new principal. Thomas Lechner will take over at Seminole Middle.
Weller served last year as an assistant principal at Seminole High.
Although he has been named to the position and has taken over the principal's duties, his appointment will not be official until the Aug. 28 School Board meeting. That's seven days after the new school year opens.
The district did not have biographical information prepared. Weller could not be reached for comment, so little is officially known about him other than his age, 44, and the day he started work with the district: Nov. 15, 1985.
Weller will replace Rick Misenti.
Lechner, 48, has worked for the school district since August 1986. Last year, he was assistant principal at Oak Grove Middle School.
He replaces Judy LeBoeuf.
"I plan on looking and listening a lot," Lechner said Tuesday. "It's a wonderful community. It's an excellent staff from what I'm being told. ... I've got some tough shoes to fill."
Principals earn between $77,529 and $112,727 per year.
